xarid.uzex.uz: registering, finding lots and submitting a bid

xarid.uzex.uz is Uzbekistan's electronic public procurement system. Most lots from budget-funded organisations and state enterprises go through it: the e-shop, electronic auctions, tenders and best-offer selections. The system is run by the Republican Commodity Exchange (UZEX). Here is how a supplier can get started on the platform.

Step 1. What you need before registering

Step 2. Registering as a supplier

You log in to the platform with your ESI. When you first register, you fill in the company profile: company details, contacts and lines of business. Check that the data matches your founding documents — a mismatch in the name or INN later becomes a reason for bids to be rejected. Once registered, the company gets a personal account with a balance used for bid security.

Step 3. Sections of the platform

SectionWhat's thereWhat to look at
E-shopSmall purchases: the buyer posts an item, suppliers submit a priceShort submission window, the lowest price wins — speed matters
Electronic auctionReverse bidding down from the starting priceAuction step, closing time, product requirements in the technical specification
Tender and selectionPurchases where qualifications and the technical part are assessedEvaluation criteria, list of documents, bid security
Completed dealsRegister of results: who won and at what priceReal prices and competitors in your field

The completed deals register is the most underrated section: it shows which prices a particular buyer accepts and who wins regularly. In Tanlo, this data is shown right on each tender's page, in the "buyer's supplier concentration" block.

Step 4. How to find the right lot

On the platform itself, search works by number, title and buyer; there are no handy industry filters, and lot titles are often written in Uzbek with abbreviations. It is more practical to search through the Tanlo catalogue: public and corporate procurement is gathered in one search, titles are easy to read, each lot is tagged by industry and region, and a saved search sends new lots to Telegram. Ready-made selections are on the IT, medical, food products and other sector pages.

Step 5. Submitting a bid

  1. Open the lot and download the technical specification, the draft contract and the list of participant requirements. Read all of it — payment terms, penalties and deadlines are usually tucked away in the draft contract.
  2. If bid security is required, make sure your account balance covers it.
  3. Fill in the offer on the platform's form: price (with or without VAT — as the lot states), lead times and product characteristics that follow the technical specification exactly.
  4. Attach the documents on the list — which ones exist and how to prepare them. Files must be legible, signed and up to date.
  5. Sign the bid with your ESI and send it before submissions close. Don't leave it to the last hour: the system closes strictly on time, and glitches do happen.
